School Curriculum

School academics

While attending my grandchildren’s high school graduations I was impressed by the large numbers of students with straight A averages. On the other end of the scale we still have students graduating who can’t read at third grade level or make change at their fast food job.

We’ve instituted the “no child left behind,” that many administrators and teachers think is a failure. Let’s have your ideas on the subject. What should be taught in the schools today?

Please enter only one new idea per day. Try to present it in the shortest way possible, one or two sentences. Go to lvthinktank.com for a complete list of more than 40 blogs addressing social issues. Post your solutions on as many as you are interested in.

The schools main function is to prepare students for productive work.
Entrepreneurship should be included in the curriculum. More people are earning a great living on the Internet. They can live anywhere they have a high speed Internet connection.
